How much does an iron infusion cost?

Please note that the consultation + treatment is £790 (i.e., £220 for the consultation + £570 for the iron Infusion).

The Initial Consultation:

• Is an online, 45-minute Zoom meeting with one of the Oxford Iron Clinic’s consultants covering iron deficiency management, anaemia, women’s health, or haematology
• Is required per good medical practice and our governance protocols, building awareness and understanding of any potential risks
• Involves a thorough review of your medical history and your blood count results, including the potential need for any further investigation
• Concludes with developing a clear and effective treatment plan that is right for you and booking your iron infusion appointment

Insured patients: Quote this code to your insurance company 20300, however please be aware that the responsibility for ensuring your account is paid is yours.

Overseas patients: We recommend booking an online consultation if you would like to discuss your iron deficiency and blood results. We will undertake a full medical review and make recommendations for iron treatment with a formal clinic letter. Many of our clients find this a very practical way to inform their local doctors and enable the correct treatment needed in their own home country.

How do I pay for my iron infusion?

The initial consultations (online) are booked and paid for in advance. For infusions, please pay at the clinic on the day of treatment unless prior written arrangements are in place. We accept payment by BACS transfer which will be communicated to you through your appointment booking.

What is the cancellation policy for my iron infusion?

We understand that unexpected circumstances and unplanned issues do arise from time to time, leaving you unable to attend and leading you to cancel your scheduled appointment. As such, we respectfully request that you notify us of any cancellation a minimum of 24 hours in advance to allow us to offer the appointment to other patients.

Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of their scheduled time as well as missed appointments will be subject to the full cost of the consultation and treatment. Late arrivals where the appointment cannot be completed without running into the next appointment slot will be cancelled and rescheduled without charge. This allows the clinic to run smoothly and fairly for all patients and to offer the best possible service.
